Oana Stanciu | PhD Student
My PhD explores how humans learn and teach using both behavioral experiments and computational modeling. I am interested in how optimal teaching-learning can be formalized in the rational agent framework and whether people deviate significantly from its predictions. In particular, I investigate the pre-requisites for being an effective teacher or a receptive learner, as well as the constraints on optimality imposed by naturalistic settings and limited agents.
Before joining the lab, I studied cognitive psychology at the University of Edinburgh and then statistical data analysis at The University of Ghent.
